MAPS provides after school programs and pickups to a variety of schools throughput the HRM. It aims to provide programs for school aged children through the power of play and organized sport.
MAPS provides a transportation service for participants to safely get from school to the after school program. Pickups begin as early as 2 PM from schools throughout HRM (including private and french schools). Parent pickups run as late as 5:45 PM.
Located in the heart of Downtown Dartmouth MAPS uses all of its resources by utilizing the Dartmouth Commons and Alderney Landing areas giving participants the opportunity to be outside. Our indoor facility at 17 Banook Ave. consists of a gym, multipurpose room for participants to use.
With it’s multisport approach MAPS gives participants the opportunity to explore a variety of different sports, helping them gain skill development through structured activities. Although there is a focus on sport MAPS understands the importance of “play” in a child’s life. Our after school program provides participants time to be imaginative and play during our daily open floor. The program combines the perfect balance of choice, play, structure, and activity.
Weekly schedules are sent to families every Sunday to allow parents a chance to see what their child will be up to.
MAPS programs give youth the ability to learn, grow, and prosper all while having fun and being active within their community.
